setsnmp
Configures system parameters for SNMP. You can configure the management station address to receive system traps using this command.
Syntax
setsnmp -n system_name -c system_contact -L system_location
-r read_community_string -w write_community_string
-1 manager_address1 -2 manager_address2 -3 manager_address3
-4 manager_address4
Options
-n
|
System name (up to 31 characters).
|
-c
|
System contact (up to 31 characters).
|
-L
|
System location (up to 63 characters).
|
-r
|
Read community string.
|
-w
|
Write community string.
|
-1
|
IP address of manager station1.
|
-2
|
IP address of manager station2.
|
-3
|
IP address of manager station3.
|
-4
|
IP address of manager station4.
|
Note
- Only the parameters relevant to the task you are performing need to be specified.
Example
setsnmp -n system1 -1 205.15.3.20
This command will configure the system name as system1 and set up the management station address to be 205.15.3.20.
