Traditional IP Routing

To use the CLI to set up the SecureRamp in Traditional IP Routing mode, follow these steps:

  1. At the prompt, enter the following commands to set the SecureRamp to NAT-Enabled Static Routing mode:
User name: wradmin
Password: trancell
NOTE: wradmin is the default user name and trancell is the default password of the SecureRamp. You can change the password at any time with the setwrpasswd command. You cannot change the user name.
  1. At the prompt, enter the following commands to set the SecureRamp to Traditional IP Routing mode:
NOTE: The options in commands are case sensitive.

 % enableipgateway -s off

 % setlocalip -n 1 -a <IP address> -m <subnet mask>

 % setlocalip -n 2 -a <IP address> -m <subnet mask>

NOTE: In Traditional IP Routing mode, the LAN IP and the WAN IP addresses can be the same address, different addresses on the same subnet, or different addresses on different subnets.

 % saveconfig

If you are setting up a network, you must now configure the IP address, the DNS addresses, and the gateway address for the computers on the network. The default gateway address for the computers is the SecureRamp's local LAN IP address.
